nb upgrade


nb upgrade [OPTIONS] [FORMULAS]...

With no names, upgrades everything that is outdated. Pinned formulae are kept (see nb pin).

Options

Flag	Meaning
`-s`, `--build-from-source`	Build from source instead of using bottles
`--no-link`	Do not create symlinks after installation
`--require-sha`	Refuse a cask without a checksum
`--no-binaries`	Leave out the casks’ binaries
`--language <LANGUAGE>`	Not supported: casks install in their default language
`--auto-init`	Initialize without prompting
`-v`, `--verbose`	Increase output verbosity
`-q`, `--quiet`	Suppress output, only show errors

It accepts the same cask directory flags as nb install (--appdir, --fontdir and so on).


nb upgrade
nb upgrade jq

Casks that update themselves (auto_updates) are upgraded only when you name them.
